All we can say is Thank You

In what will easily go down as the worst weather we have ever experienced in the five years we have hosted this tournament, the generosity and amazing spirit of all involved came shining through. We had rain all morning, rain all afternoon and then a massive downpour and storm midway through everyone's round. What did the record setting amount of golfers do with this weather and unfortunate turn? They made the best of it and had a great time.

The meal and memorabilia auction turn into a incredible night. A record price for the first jersey set the pace for what was an amazing night. Another highlight had an anonymous donor purchase two jerseys for $1300 each and donate them to a couple of the kids that have been recipients of the Jordan Zacharias memorial fund. From there, the generosity continued to flow and at the end of the night, we raised close to $47,000 for families that face incredible challenges.

Thank you to all who attended and kept a great attitude during the tournament and dinner. People overwhelmingly gave their support through purchases and private donations. Thank you to our corporate and hole sponsors. The organizing committee continues to be truly humbled with the generosity of everyone involved.  

We have already booked in our tournament for next year. Mark your calendars for July 28th where we will do it all again!

Details for Thursday

The tournament is Thursday and we couldn’t be more excited for our big day. With that, we thought we would put together a guide for the upcoming day. Where: Moon Lake Golf and Country Club. For those of you that don’t know, Moon Lake is South West of Saskatoon on Valley Road.

                 

When: Registration is at 12:00 with the shotgun start at 1:00pm.

What to Expect: Rain or Shine, you can expect a day of opportunity to help . Our registration shows us to have the most golfers in this tournament's history and we are excited to see everyone out there. Once out there, you will have many opportunities to win some great prizes such as:

Raffle:

A long list of raffle items with our big prize being a trip for two anywhere WestJet flies. Tickets will be sold all day on the course for $5 a ticket or $20 for an arms length.

Flip for the TV:

After the dinner, there will be our traditional flip for a TV. For the low price of $20, you will enter a simple elimination game of Heads and Tails in which the last person standing will take home a 50’ LED TV.

MOON LAKE. THURSDAY. SEE YOU THERE.

Thursday is the big day. If you have already signed up, please remember that Registration is at 12:00 with the shotgun start starting at 1:00 sharp! There are a lot of golfers that we are going to have to process on Thursday so please get there early if at all possible.

If you haven't signed up but still want to, please drop us a line at jordanzakgolfclassic@hotmail.ca or touch base with one of the organizers. We want as many people as possible for this event and we still have some spaces available (so get your teams together and get in touch with us!) We are also selling individual tickets to the dinner at 6pm and auction after the tournament. Please contact us for further information if interested.

Just over a week away!

Time is running out to get into this year's tournament. For those that indicated that you were thinking about putting a team in, the time is now to enter your group to ensure your spot. The tournament is a week from Thursday and we are excited to see how many people we can get into this years event.

If you don't have a foursome but want to participate, we are open to individual registrations as well. We want to give everyone the opportunity to participate.

Finally, if you are looking at other ways to support the tournament, we are looking for some volunteers to assist with witnessing at hole in one holes as well as other running around tasks during the day. If you want to volunteer, please drop us a line at jordanzakgolfclassic@hotmail.ca

The countdown is on to the biggest Jordan Zacharias Memorial Golf Classic yet which will be held on August 6^th at the Moon Lake Golf and Country Club. We have a record number of golfers, sponsors, prizes and are set to raise money to help families and children in Jordan’s amazing memory. With that, we still have room left for more golfers and sponsors. With us increasing our tournament to a 27 hole tournament, it has given us the opportunity to bring even more people in for the day and for us to raise even more money.

This tournament promises to be yet another great day of fun at Moon Lake but we want it to be even bigger. With that, if you are still thinking about golfing, please register now. All information can be found online at our website. Print off a registration sheet and send it over to us! Same goes with potential sponsors. August 6th Is Coming Quick

We've had some beautiful weather around Saskatoon over the last week and we believe it has everyone thinking about golfing more this summer. With that said, we strongly encourage all of you to get an entry into us for the upcoming tournament. You can print off and send a registration form to us or just send us an email to jordanzakgolfclassic@hotmail.ca with the name of the people in your foursome and a credit card number that you would like to pay with.

Also, we are still looking for more sponsors for this year’s tournament. Corporate sponsorship is $1500 and includes complimentary foursome including carts and 4 dinner tickets to the auction along with recognition throughout the day. You can also sign up for a hole sponsorship for $250.

JZ Memorial Fund

All funds raised at the JZ Memorial Golf Classic go directly to supporting families with children facing life threatening diseases. We have been humbled by the generous support displayed over the last number of years. We have raised and donated over $100,000 in the short existence of this tournament. Jordan’s legacy of hope and love is being carried forward in ways we never would have imagined!
